THE CHURCH OF THE VIRGIN MARY’S IMMACULATE

The Church of the Virgin Mary’s Immaculate Conception was built in 2006.  Pope John Paul II visited Baku in 2002 and commissioned that a church be constructed.  Azerbaijan President Heydar Aliev presented the plot of land for the building to the Church. On April 29th, 2007 Archbishop Claudio Gugerotti, Nuncio administered the rite of consecration of the Church.

Ash Wednesday Mass will be celebrated at 19:00 on February 25th at Immaculate Conception Church. The mass will be in English and Russian. All are invited to attend as we begin the Lenten Season.

Preparation for Sacraments such as Baptism and First Holy Communion will be offered upon request. Please contact Fr. Josef or Sister Albina if you are interested.

Special Offerings
In addition to the offering basket at Holy Mass on the weekends, pledges and donations are specifically collected for (1) the soup kitchen and (2) other projects (medicines and food for the poor). Special Occasions
Schedule for Sunday Mass Offering (English) if you are interested in bringing an offering (flowers, food, cakes, items for the Church, etc.) to 11am Holy Mass on Sunday, please contact Christina Lu (050-313-2682) or Christina Sol (050-660-4917). They have the schedule for the whole year, so if you have a special date (birthday, anniversary), you can schedule in advance. 
Couples For Christ Activities
On the 1st and 2nd Fridays at 7:30pm of each month, Couples for Christ will hold household prayer meetings; all are welcome. On the 3rd Fridays of each month at 7:30pm Couples for Christ will have Bible Study in the Gangilik Church. On the 4th Saturday of every month, Catechism & Fellowship for the entire parish will be held at the Church at 7:30pm.
Catechism Class
Offered by the Sisters of Charity, this class is offered right after 11am Mass. Sister Albina teaches the older children and Sister Marina teaches the younger children. All are welcome.

The Holy Rosary

For the information of the parishioners of Immaculate Concepcion Parish in Baku. There is a Rosary and Novena every Wednesday in the church at 7:30 pm.

Everyone is invited to come and pray the Rosary together, as our devotion to our Mother Mary the Mother of our Lord Jesus Christ. She is the Queen of Peace and we need her intercession.
