{"id":1812,"date":"2018-03-23T15:53:39","date_gmt":"2018-03-23T11:53:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.catholic.az\/en\/?p=1812"},"modified":"2018-10-25T10:12:35","modified_gmt":"2018-10-25T06:12:35","slug":"holy-week-schedule-easter-2018","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.catholic.az\/en\/archives\/1812","title":{"rendered":"Holy Week Schedule \u2013 EASTER 2018"},"content":{"rendered":"<p align=\"center\"><span style=\"color: #373737;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><i>(The Virgin Mary\u2019s Immaculate Conception Church, Baku)<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>Holy Wednesday: Holy Chrism Mass at 7 pm<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #373737;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The Chrism Mass is celebrated by Bishop, who blesses the oils for the sick (used in Anointing of the Sick), for catechumens (used in Baptism) and chrism (used in Baptism, but especially in Confirmation and Holy Orders, as well as in rites such as the blessing of an altar and a church).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>Holy Thursday: Holy Mass at 7 pm<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #373737;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The Holy Mass commemorates the Last Supper of Jesus with his Twelve Apostles, the institution of the Eucharist, the institution of the Priesthood, and the commandment of brotherly love that Jesus gave after washing the feet of his disciples.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>Good Friday: The Stations of the Cross at 6.00 pm &amp; The Holy Liturgy at 7 <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"font-size: small;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>pm<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #373737;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The liturgy consists of three parts: the Liturgy of the Word, the Veneration of the Cross, and the Holy Communion. On Good Friday there is no Mass celebrated and hence, the Hosts consecrated at the Mass on the Maundy Thursday are distributed to the people.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\"><b>Easter Vigil: Holy Mass at 7.30 pm<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"color: #373737;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The Easter Vigil, the longest and most solemn of the Catholic Church\u2019s liturgical services, consists of four parts:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #373737;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">1. The Liturgy of Light<br \/>\n2. The Liturgy of the Word<br \/>\n3. The Liturgy of Baptism: The sacraments of Baptism and Confirmation for new\u00a0 members of the Church and the Renewal of Baptismal Promises by the entire\u00a0\u00a0 congregation.<br \/>\n4.
