Holy Week Celebrations

Unfortunately, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the epidemiological situation in the country also this year does not allow us to gather in the churches to celebrate the holy masses and the other celebrations of the Easter Triduum, but we can be united with our bishop in prayer and contemplation of the Paschal Mystery through online broadcasted celebrations according to the following schedule:
Thursday 1 April: 19:00 EVENING MASS OF THE LAST SUPPER
Friday 2 April: 19:00 COMMEMORATION OF THE LORD’S PASSION
Saturday 3 April: 19:30 EASTER VIGIL IN THE HOLY NIGHT OF EASTER
Sunday 4 April: 11:00 EASTER – THE RESURRECTION OF THE LORD
We will broadcast (in Russian language) the celebrations of the Easter Triduum (Thursday-Friday-Saturday) via audio broadcast (audio only), Sunday Holy Mass will be broadcasted with video.

Activity of the Catholic Church during next week in the situation of quarantine

Due to the current pandemic situation, we were forced to close our churches this week to avoid the spread of the infection. We hope that the situation will improve and soon we will be able to open churches at least for personal prayer.
For all questions about the visit of the church, receiving sacraments, Holy Masses and other celebrations, services and needs, you can contact our priests.
We continue online broadcasts of Holy Masses in Russian on Sundays at 11:00 on our YouTube channel.

Dispense from the duty of personal participation at Sunday Mass and holy days of obligation

We remind you that at the present time, due to the continuing ban on public services, the ordinary of the Apostolic Prefecture of the Catholic Church in Azerbaijan temporarily exempts faithful Catholics from the obligation of personal participation in Mass on Sunday and holy days of obligation. This exemption is valid until further notice.
