BISHOP VLADIMIR FEKETE PARTICIPATED IN IFTAR EVENT
On 4th of March, a traditional iftar dinner was held at the residence of Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade, Chairman of the Caucasus Muslims Board, on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
Among those attending the iftar were Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva, leaders of Azerbaijan’s traditional religious communities, heads and representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in the country, members of the Milli Majlis, and public figures.
Speaking at the event, Bishop Vladimir Fekete, Apostolic Prefect of the Catholic Church in Azerbaijan, expressed his gratitude to Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade for the invitation and for the traditional hospitality. He noted that faith in the One Almighty Creator unites people, and that the annual iftar gatherings organized by the Caucasus Muslims Board and Sheikh-ul-Islam Allahshukur Pashazade are a vivid example of this unity.
Bishop Vladimir Fekete emphasized that the interreligious peace and mutual respect prevailing in Azerbaijan serve as an important example for a world suffering from various conflicts.
At the conclusion of his remarks, Bishop Vladimir Fekete offered a prayer for peace and prosperity in Azerbaijan.
