SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE HOLY SEE CARDINAL PIETRO PAROLIN TOOK PART IN THE INTERNATIONAL COP29 CONFERENCE IN BAKU

The Secretary of State of the Holy See, Cardinal Pietro Parolin, took part in the opening of the Leaders’ Summit of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, (COP29) held in Baku.

Within the event cardinal Parolin met with the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

The conference was attended by leaders of country’s religious communities including the Apostolic Prefect of the Catholic Church in Azerbaijan, Bishop Vladimir Fekete.
